Aberavon MP backs Prime Minister

I have been making statements to the media throughout the afternoon in support of the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP.

I do not support the call for a secret ballot for the leadership and I do not detect any real support for such a move. Gordon Brown is doing an excellent job nationally and internationally and for that reason I am sure he will get the support of the Parliamentary Labour Party to get on with the job.
