Which? Good Food Guide regional Restaurant of the Year award winners

The ten regional winners of the Which? Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year award are announced today. The award recognises excellence and good service at independently owned restaurants, pubs and cafés and included a public vote.

Wales - Tyddyn Llan, Llandrillo

Scotland - Linen Room, Dumfries

Northern Ireland - James Street South, Belfast

The North West – Ramsons, Ramsbottom

The North East - Yorke Arms, Ramsgill

The Midlands – Perkins, Plumtree

The South West – Culinaria, Bristol

The South East - The Plough, Bolnhurst

The East - The Swan Inn, Monks Eleigh

London – Canteen, Spitalfields

These ten restaurants will now compete for the Restaurant of the Year award, which will be chosen by a panel of experts led by Elizabeth Carter, Consultant Editor of The Good Food Guide.

The award will be presented at the Which? awards* ceremony, to be held on 27 June 2007 at the British Museum and compered by broadcaster Fiona Bruce.

Members of the public were invited to nominate their favourite restaurant in their region, based on a set of criteria from The Good Food Guide.All ten regional winners will appear in the 2008 edition of the Guide.
