United Christian Broadcasters appoints new Broadcasting Director

United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) has appointed Gary Hoogvliet as its new Broadcasting Director.

Hoogvliet arrives at the UK arm of the Christian media organisation, from a role as Vice President of Marketing for UCB International, based in New Zealand. He was on the Board of UCB Australia and is also the founding CEO of UCB Canada.

Hoogvliet has worked in a variety of broadcast and marketing roles, as a radio sales manager, television news reader and sports commentator and is now heading up UCB’s Broadcasting division.

UCB is the UK’s largest Christian media charity, broadcasting on DAB digital radio in most major cities in England and Wales and also through UCB TV on satellite channel 766 and www.ucb.co.uk. Established as a charity in 1986, the organisation is also well known for its popular ‘The Word for Today’ Bible notes, which are read by more than five million people worldwide.

Gary said, “This is an exciting and challenging time to be joining UCB and I’m looking forward to extending our reach further, as UCB becomes better known in the UK”

Hoogvliet has a degree in Broadcasting and Communication and is married with one daughter.
