Unite members at Fujitsu Manchester suspend strike action

4 October 2011

Unite has suspended industrial action at Fujitsu in Manchester due to an agreement reached during last minute discussions.

Today's planned strike has now been cancelled and any further action has also been suspended. This includes a demonstration at the Tory conference.

Kevin O'Gallagher, Unite national officer, said:

“Our members do not take strike action lightly. The agreement reached is good news for both our members and for Fujitsu.

“Further talks are planned with the company. We hope this will produce an improved offer, which we will put to our members.”
