TELL YOUR COUNCILLOR WHAT YOU THINK

Residents have the chance to tell their councillor in person what kind of place they think Camden should be in 2012.

Camden’s councillors will be holding a series of residents’ meetings across the borough between 30 October and 23 November to discuss the Camden Together consultation document reflecting the council’s commitment to being listening and responsive.

Camden Together sets out a vision to deal with the challenges faced by the borough over the next five years, such as how public services like transport, schools, hospitals and the police will cope with a predicted 10 per cent growth in population.

The document has been drawn up by the Local Strategic Partnership, which is led by the council and made up of local organisations such as the police, health, other public services, businesses and the voluntary and community sector.

Residents should already have received a summary of Camden Together with their September issue of residents’ magazine Your Camden. Alternatively they can find out more and pick up a copy at any Camden library, through the dedicated website www.camdentogether.org.uk or by calling 020 7974 5222.

Cllr Keith Moffitt, Camden Council Leader and Chair of the Local Strategic Partnership, said: "Camden is an amazing borough, but not without its challenges. The Camden Together consultation isn't just about services, it's about what we can all do to make the borough a better place for everyone. The borough’s future is your future. This is an ideal opportunity to talk directly to your councillor about the kind of place you want Camden to be in 2012.”

The Camden Together consultation ends on 30 November 2006. Following the consultation a final plan will be published in early 2007.
