TECHNOLOGY PROMPTS REVAMP OF RETAIL MAG

24 August 2005

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) is pleased to announce it will be launching a 'new look' Solutions magazine for its next issue published on 1 September.

Solutions magazine is published eight times a year and covers a number of industry-wide issues, featuring in-depth interviews with key industry figures.

Previously, issues were split between a focus on operations and technology. However, due to the fact that these two issues are so intertwined feedback indicated it was more appropriate for a combined approach.

BRC Director General, Kevin Hawkins says: "After extensive internal consultation and feedback from members we decided that it was time for a new look and feel for the magazine.

"The clinch was the issue of technology, as these days it can not be separated from a retailer's day-to-day operations."

The magazine will now feature a broader range of articles from a wider range of contributors, including retailers, analysts, industry experts, academics and a host of independent writers.

Features that will remain in the revamped Solutions will include the popular Accenture interview series (this month's issue features Ben Gordon, Chief Executive of Mothercare), the highly useful Directory of Associate Member's contact details as well as a continued focus on informative articles about key retail issues.
