RORY BREMNER TAKES ON RETAIL DINNER ROLE

Rory Bremner, top comedian and political impressionist has been confirmed as the After Dinner Speaker at the glamorous British Retail Consortium (BRC) annual dinner - to be held at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on 21 September.

Bremner, twice awarded 'Top Male Performer' at the British Comedy Awards, is well known for his repertoire of impressions, which he expertly combines with topical satire. His TV show 'Bremner, Bird and Fortune' has also received two awards in four years for best entertainment TV show.

BRC Director General Kevin Hawkins, said: "We are very pleased Rory is joining us for one of the most important events in the retail calendar, with over 1,300 decision makers from the retail sector, government and commercial arena attending the event.

"Last year Ian Hislop took on the role and was very well received. The legendary team captain of 'Have I Got News For You' and Editor of Private Eye entertained guests for nearly half an hour with amusing anecdotes that had the audience reeling in laughter."
