PAT WELCOMES NEW SCOTTISH EDUCATION MINISTER

PAT (Scotland) has given its reaction to the appointment of Hugh Henry as Minister for Education and Young People.

Professional Officer (Scotland) Jim O'Neill said: "We wish Hugh Henry well in his new role and look forward to working with him to maintain the momentum generated by the outgoing Minister, Peter Peacock, in so many areas.

“The challenges he faces include following up the report on discipline in Scottish schools and maintaining the success rate in reading at primary level and the good exam results at secondary level.”
