NASUWT National Executive to consider DfE pensions proposals

5 January 2012

On Friday 6 January the National Executive of the NASUWT, the largest teachers' union, will consider the proposals put forward by the DfE on 20 December for reform to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS).

NASUWT negotiators did not sign up to the 'Heads of Agreement' proposals put forward by the DfE and the National Executive will be reviewing the discussions which took place and considering the next steps.

Chris Keates, General Secretary of the NASUWT, and Dr Patrick Roach, Deputy General Secretary of the NASUWT, will be available for interview following the Executive’s decision. This is expected around lunchtime.

To request an interview please contact the NASUWT Press Office on 020 7420 9681 or Ben Padley on 07785 463 119.
