London First on government plans to consult on a Thames Estuary airport

18 January 2012

Baroness Jo Valentine, Chief Executive of London First, said:

Government's recognition of the need to increase air hub capacity is encouraging and welcome – but a new airport in the Thames Estuary could realistically take 20-years to deliver. Growth in Asia and the Middle East is happening now. Government must come up with a more immediate solution to help business to tap into these markets.
