Press Release
IMA welcomes the Pensions Regulator consultation on guidance materials to help trustees
15 June 2010
The Investment Management Association welcomes the publication of The Pensions Regulator's revised guidance on internal controls.
The Regulator's revised internal controls guidance, which is published following consultation, provides guidance to assist trustees of pension schemes in establishing a framework for monitoring scheme risks. Risk mitigation is an ongoing process and trustees need to be continually aware of changes in the circumstances of their scheme which may introduce risk.
Responding to the Paper, Guy Sears, Director, Wholesale at the IMA says: "The IMA welcomes the publication by The Pensions Regulator of its revised guidance on internal controls. We were pleased to be invited to assist and comment where we were able. We hope this will assist trustees in their vital role of looking after the retirement provision of so many in the UK."
