General secretary election result

At the close of nominations on 19 November 2010, Philip Parkin was returned unopposed as general secretary of Voice: the union for education professionals.

Philip Parkin, who was the Council preferred candidate, took up office as General Secretary on 1 January 2006, following his election in May 2005.

Philip Parkin said: "I am delighted to be able to continue to serve the members of Voice and to take the union forward through the challenging times that face those who work in education and childcare."
