FSB Conference 2007 takes shape

11 January 2007

George Osborne MP, Shadow Chancellor, Rt. Hon Margaret Hodge MP, Small Business Minister and politicians from the political parties in Northern Ireland are scheduled to attend this year’s Federation of Small Businesses’ (FSB) Conference in Belfast.

Politicians have been invited to take part in a small business question time hosted by broadcaster Gloria Hunniford and conference delegates will also have the opportunity to attend a number of business workshops.

In addition, the FSB’s annual event will feature appearances from entrepreneur Simon Woodroffe of Dragon’s Den fame and James Murray-Wells, founder of Glasses Direct.

Carol Undy, FSB National Chairman, said:

“This year’s conference programme will feature an exciting mix of high-profile politicians and inspirational speakers.

“We are expecting in excess of 600 delegates to what will be our 32nd annual general meeting and branch conference.

“The encouraging signs of growth in the economy in Belfast, particularly in the small business sector, and the ever-increasing membership of the FSB in the region makes it an ideal place for us to visit for our conference this year.”
