Press Release

Cold-Call Car Blues

25 October 2007

Which? is warning people who receive cold-calls from companies offering to help sell their car that the enticing offers of buyers and advertisements may not be all they're cracked up to be.

These companies charge a fee in exchange for helping individuals to sell their cars, but Which? research has found that many of the companies do not deliver on these promises, leaving sellers out of pocket and without a buyer. Which? recommends that people tempted to use these cold-calling companies should make sure they check the terms and conditions first.
