Mind the Gap: Tackling the issue of workforce skills

After successfully securing an investment of almost £5 million to develop the skills of employers in justice, community safety and legal services across the UK, Skills for Justice will set out its vision in this FREE one day conference for the future of employee skills in the sector.
The conference will showcase the four work streams contained in our new delivery programme as well as providing an opportunity to share the major findings from our Employer Skills Survey published in February 2012.

The survey results have been used extensively across our business to provide the evidence and rationale for tackling the key issues raised by employers and stakeholders. Through key speakers and themed workshops we will assess these issues and solutions in the light of current political and economic skills drivers.
Over the next 2 years, we will co-invest with employers and stakeholders in an innovative programme of work to address current and future skills needs which will help create a world class workforce able to rise to the challenges that lie ahead. Our proposed activities include supporting employers to increase apprenticeships, develop resources to reduce business crime, enable workplaces to develop and thrive and to help organisations work in partnership.
