Assisted Dying for the Terminally Ill Bill (HL) [Failed Bill 2005/06 session]

Lord Joffe has reintroduced the Assisted Dying for the Terminally Ill Bill. The Bill has had several unsuccessful attempts to become law.

Having made changes to the Bill to gain more support, the peer said: "I have listened to the views in parliament and among medical professionals and believe there is more support for a law which requires the patient to take the final act."
