RMT strike - 'Time to question Crow's mandate?'

13 August 2008

The RMT today announced a strike of its Tube Lines workers. Commenting on the news, Tim Hockney, Executive Director of Transport at London First, said:

“Londoners can’t be blamed if they lose patience with Bob Crow and his small band of strike-happy subordinates. No attempt was made to call in an independent arbiter. With fewer than 300 of his members voting to hold 3.4 million Tube users to ransom, surely it’s time to question Mr Crow’s mandate.”
