John Baron MP visits Billericay Swimming Pool to see improvements

MP congratulates First Strokes and Basildon Council 

Today John Baron MP went to see for himself the improvements being made at Billericay's Swimming Pool at Lake Meadows. The improvements follow a new company called First Strokes taking over the leasehold from Basildon Council. Gillian Dovey, (Founder and Managing Director of First Strokes) welcomed John, together with Councillors Phil Turner and Tony Hedley.
 
John said: "The improvements are going to make a big difference and are a real boost for Billericay residents. Not only is a lot of money being spent on upgrading facilities, but there is now longer opening hours and more staff to help swimmers of all abilities. It is a very good news story for the town."
