National press, outdoor and pr campaign launched to promote the solicitor brand

The Law Society has today launched another initiative providing practical support for its members, kicking off a major national press, outdoor advertising and pr campaign promoting solicitors’ services to individuals..

The YOUR SOLICITOR, QUALIFIED TO ANSWER campaign is aimed at encouraging consumers to use solicitors by highlighting the kinds of problems they can help with and promoting solicitors’ unique selling points. Advertising directs viewers to the Society’s website where they can search for a solicitor to help them through the ‘find a solicitor’ service as well as more in-depth information about how solicitors can help.

The campaign, orchestrated by Stephen Ward, Communications Director at the Law Society, will run from April to June.

He said: "Promotion of the brand of solicitor has been identified as a priority for the national Law Society by the profession. This campaign focuses on services for individual clients and small businesses. It complements other work we are doing to promote the brand of solicitor at home and around the world. We can provide local law societies and firms with adverts carrying their logos and contact details for them to place locally so that they can benefit even more from the national campaign.

"We’ll be measuring the impact of this campaign and if it is successful, we will look to develop and repeat it in future."

Kevin Martin, past president of the Law Society and Chair of the membership board, which focuses on practical support for members of the Law Society as well as communications with and about the profession, said:

"This campaign demonstrates the Law Society is providing practical support to help solicitors grow their practices. I’m delighted that local solicitors are taking advantage of this opportunity by getting involved."
