MP Welcomes Blair's Oxford Speech on Europe

Tony Blair's optimism about the future of the European Union expressed in his speech in Oxford yesterday has been welcome by Rotherham MP, Denis MacShane. MacShane attended the lecture at St Antony's College, Oxford and described the Prime Minister's speech as "one of the most thoughtful analyses by a serving PM of the key question of Europe in modern British history." Next week MacShane is launching a pamphlet urging Britain to move beyond the simple pro and anti debate on Europe and instead focus on promoting British interests in the EU.
