Plaid outlines 'basis of discussion' for coalition
Delivering his last keynote speech for the elections, Ieuan Wyn Jones has said that voting for Plaid Cymru is the "only way to make a difference".
Speaking in Cardiff, he insisted that in the event of a hung assembly, the party would seek to ensure its core manifesto commitments are implemented.
The pledges include capping council tax for pensioners, passing a new Welsh Language Act and holding a referendum on a Scottish-style parliament by 2011.
"Plaid is offering the people of Wales the opportunity to vote for policies that will transform Wales," said Jones.
"The only way to ensure that these policies are introduced is to vote Plaid."
He added: "If no party has an overall majority next week, these policies will be the basis of any discussions for co-operation with any other party.
"The only way to make a difference next week is to vote Plaid."
