Howard challenges Blair on EU immigration

Michael Howard has challenged the prime minister over the government's failure to impose tight controls on migrants from the EU accession states.

 

The Tory leader said the government's policy was in "total confusion".

 

He said the prime minister was saying “completely different things from others in his own government”.
