Digital Hearing Aids – At Last!
The West Middlesex Hospital is now, at last, in a position to fit digital aids on the NHS, two years after government assurances that the service was being introduced for all. Vincent Cable MP, who has campaigned for the service on behalf of local people with deafness problems, said that he had been “very frustrated by the slowness of the West Mid in organising their audiology service to meet this real need – apparently, the digital equipment is vastly superior to traditional hearing aids. The Chief Executive tells me that the hospital is definitely now in a position to install the aides. Local people who need hearing aids should, therefore, ask their GP to arrange an appointment at the hospital.”Latest Press Releases
