Allotment Contamination Crisis
Local allotment holders on Whitton Dene have been told to leave their plots immediately because of evidence of land contamination. Vincent Cable MP has written to Hounslow Council on behalf of his Whitton and Twickenham residents who have plots seeking a full explanation: “all kinds of rumours are flying around that this has something to do with Mogden seepage. But there is some distress as allotment holders have put years of work into their holdings. If they are being told to quit immediately, there must be a serious problem. Hounslow Council should put out a public statement immediately to clarify the position.”Latest Press Releases
