Vince Cable visiting Bath
Bath Liberal Democrats and local MP Don Foster are delighted to welcome Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader and Shadow Chancellor, Vince Cable MP, to the city this Saturday [19 April].
Don Foster, will be hosting An Afternoon with Vince Cable MP at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution. This question and answer session will give people the opportunity to quiz Vince on his time as Acting Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Chief Economist with Shell and, of course, dancing with Strictly Come Dancing winner Alesha Dixon! This event is open to members of the public as well as Liberal Democrat members and supporters.
Vince will then be visiting Thermae Bath Spa to see the positive impact it has had on Bath’s economy and the boost it has given to tourism locally.
Commenting, Don said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Vince to Bath and am particularly pleased that he will have the chance to visit the Spa.
“Vince is hugely respected by MPs of all parties and is an extremely popular figure both in the Lib Dems and in British politics. So much so that the Guardian recently declared that he might well win a competition for Britain's Most Popular Politician if a poll were held today.”
