Sylvia congratulates local woman on MBE

Sylvia Heal MP and Jean Harborne outside the Houses of Parliament
On Thursday 18th October Sylvia Heal welcomed Jean Harborne and her family to the Houses of Parliament to congratulate after she had visited Buckingham Palace to receive an MBE from the Queen.
Jean Harborne was this week awarded an MBE for her services to the community working for Job Centre Plus. Jean has worked in employment rehabilitation in the West Midlands area since 1977. She said that meeting Sylvia at the House of Commons had “made what was a special day even more special.”
Sylvia Heal MP said: “I was delighted to meet Jean and her family at the Houses of Parliament. Having worked in employment rehabilitation myself I know what an important and sometimes difficult job it can be, I was pleased to be able to congratulate Jean on the fantastic achievement of being awarded an MBE.”
