Local Macmillan coffee morning raises £838
Vera Jarvis, long-time charity campaigner, was delighted once again to be able to hold a coffee morning for the Macmillan Cancer Support Appeal on behalf of the Trefoil Guild.
Fifty ladies attended the event which raised a huge £838. Vera was pleased to welcome to the event Halesowen & Rowley Regis MP Sylvia Heal, local Councillors Hazel and Ken Turner and various members of the medical profession.
Vera would like to thank everyone who attended the event, those who helped organise the day, the people who couldn’t come but made a donation. A special thanks must go to the local Tesco Express on the Hagley Road that kindly contributed the 1st Prize for the raffle a £30 Luxury hamper of goods.
