Sylvia meets local students at Westminster “People & Politics Europe Day”

Sylvia Heal, MP for Halesowen and Rowley Regis, met with students from Leasowes High School who were visiting Westminster to take part in “People & Politics Day Europe”.
The students joined thousands from across the country to take part in the day, which involved two question and answer sessions with politicians about how Europe affects daily lives and the role it can play in tackling global issues along with a series of smaller debates on a range of topics from crime to climate change.
Sylvia Heal MP said: “I was pleased to meet the students from Leasowes to talk about what they had learnt that day, the role of elected representatives and the importance of voting and participating in politics. It was really nice to meet such enthusiastic young people with a keen interest in current affairs and the world around them.”
