Sylvia joins the World's Biggest Coffee Morning
Sylvia Heal, MP for Halesowen and Rowley Regis is pleased to be taking part in two local events as part of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The annual Macmillan Coffee morning is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, an estimated 2 million people took part last year. This year's events will be taking place across the country on Friday 28 September, organisers aim to raise over £7 million for people affected by cancer.
Sylvia will be attending two local events organised to mark the day. Vera Jarvis, local charity campaigner, will be holding a coffee morning from 11.30 until 3.00 at her house in Halesowen there will be a bring & buy sale, a raffle as well as refreshments. Blackheath School are also holding an event between 9.00 and 11.00 to help Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sylvia Heal MP said: “I am pleased to be able to support these two local events that aim to bring local people together and help Macmillan in the work they do to help people affected by Cancer. It’ great to see local volunteers and school children getting involved in this national campaign and showing that we are willing to do our bit in Halesowen and Rowley Regis”.
