MP urges pensioners to claim their free eye test

Sylvia Heal, MP for Halesowen and Rowley Regis is encouraging all over 60s to take advantage of their entitlement to a free eye test.

Everyone in the UK over the age of 60 is entitled to a free eye test NHS eye test but millions of older people are failing to make the most of this opportunity.

Sylvia Heal said: “It is important to have regular eye tests because they help detect early signs of eye disease such as glaucoma and early warning of other conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. That’s why I am encouraging everyone in Halesowen and Rowley Regis who is over 60 to make the most of their entitlement and book a test today.”
