Commenting, Simon Burns MP said:
“I am astonished following the muck up after the return to work after the Christmas/New Year that, once again, over the Easter break, we are having a major disruption to the rail network on the Chelmsford/Liverpool Street line immediately after Easter. Despite the £14 million fine following the first fiasco and the assurances given that it would not be repeated over Easter, it is appalling that today we should see major disruption with train services terminated and bus services being substituted.
This is totally unacceptable for the long-suffering Chelmsford commuters and I have written to the Minister for Transport and Network Rail expressing my concern and calling for a full investigation.”
