Rosie Welcomes Extra Funding for Doncaster Communities
Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central, today warmly welcomed extra funding for Doncaster of £17 million to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour, education, housing, and local health issues.
The money has been allocated over the next 2 years and will be given to the Council and other community organisations. The extra money was announced as part of £1.3 billion of extra funding of the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF).
Rosie said:
“This extra money will make a real difference in making Doncaster a better place to live. I know that crime, anti-social behaviour and good quality public services are hugely important to people locally.
“I share residents’ views that where we all live should be cleaner and safer, and this money will bring extra improvements on top of the existing efforts of the Mayor, the Council, the Police and other authorities.”
