Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central will be visiting the Higher Rhythm Recording Studio on Friday 13 October at 10.00 a.m. at 53-57 Netherhall Road, Doncaster, DN1 2PG

Doncaster’s Higher Rhythm Recording studio has opened its new and bigger facility and has invited Rosie to join them during their opening week.  Rosie will be given an insight into the work of the organisation and introduced to some of exciting and new developments / services on offer in their new premises.

Rosie says “I have followed the development of Higher Rhythm   over the past few years and I am delighted to be able to visit them in their new surroundings. The new studios and facilities are an exciting development and I hope that local people will make the most of them.”

The new studios have seventeen rooms with learning hubs, interactive white boards, a live room where recordings can be made in conjunction with the studio, DJ space and a meeting room that can be hired out.

Over the last three years, Higher Rhythm has been providing training and accredited courses for South Yorkshire residents and has won various awards, recently achieving major national recognition for their innovative programs of community inclusive learning through BECTA (British Educational Communication Technology Agency.) Higher Rhythm have also managed to bring  funding of more than 0.5 million pounds in to Doncaster from bodies such as the Big Lottery Fund and Arts Council England.

Steven Mundin, Projects Manager for Higher Rhythm said   “This is a major event for us and we are also pleased that we can make our contribution to the ongoing redevelopment of the town.  This new building will allow us to expand our services to provide maximum access for people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds, and as well as providing a new community resource, it means we can also offer a range of new activities which are currently  under-represented in the borough”.
