Rosie Welcomes Olympics Victory

Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central, today strongly welcomed the success of the UK bid to host the 2012 Olympics.

Speaking today, Rosie Winterton said:

“We have won the Olympic games. This is a great day for British sport – and an extraordinary opportunity to host the world’s greatest event and transform sport in our country.

“It’s possible that a young person in Doncaster today will be representing Britain in 2012 at the Olympic games in London.

“And those of us who wont be competing in the Olympics can look forward to being at the greatest sporting event in the world.”
