On Saturday 27 January Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central opened the newly re-furbished premises at 249 Beckett Road, Wheatley, Doncaster for Wheatley Park Community Action Network Tenants’ and Residents’ Association.
Local residents were invited to an open day to celebrate the new extension to the Tenants and Residents Association building for Wheatley Park Community Action Network.
Rosie says
“I want to thank Mavis Williams, Treasurer at Wheatley Park TARA for organising the open day and I was delighted to see so many people take up the invitation to come along for a coffee and have a chat about issues that concern them.
I know that the TARA plays a very important role in the local community and the newly extended premises will help them to continue to provide local residents with an excellent service. I would certainly encourage local people to call in and see how they can get involved with the association.”
Local Councillors Mick Muddiman, Eva Hughes and Moira Hood were also available to talk to people about issues relating to the local authority.
