ROSIE JOINS 2nd ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF DONCASTER SUPPORT CHILDMINDING SCHEME

Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central will be speaking at the 2nd Anniversary celebration of the Doncaster Support Childminding Scheme on Friday 23 February at 6.30 p.m. at the Mansion House.

Rosie has been invited by the National Childminding Association (NCMA) and the Early Years Service at Doncaster Council to be guest speaker at an event to celebrate Doncaster Support Childminding Scheme’s 2nd anniversary.

Rosie says “High quality and affordable childcare is essential for parents, that is why this Government is investing in children’s centres. As well as providing child care, these centres give support and training to Childminders who have an important role to play in childcare.  The training and support given enables Childminders to enhance the quality of service they provide both parents and children.

I am therefore delighted to have been invited to celebrate the achievements of Doncaster Childminders and their Mentors on the 2nd anniversary of the Doncaster Support Childminding Scheme.”

The scheme has been working to raise the quality of childminding in Doncaster.  Childminding Mentors help to promote the Early Years Professional Development Programme and work with other members of the NCMA to encourage the take up regular training, accessed through the Children’s Centres with whom they have forged strong links.
