More about the Mid Worcestershire constituency

The new Mid Worcestershire constituency, was created by the merger of large parts of the old Mid Worcestershire, Worcester and South Worcestershire constituencies.

It lies entirely within the Wychavon District Council area, but does not include Inkberrow and Cookhill (now in the Redditch constituency whose MP is Jacqui Smith, Labour) nor the Pershore area (in the West Worcestershire constituency of Sir Michael Spicer, Conservative).

Its biggest towns are Droitwich Spa and Evesham. It stretches from Broadway on the edge of the Cotswolds almost to Kidderminster.

Worcestershire County Council runs the education and social services for the area.
