My constituency of Greenwich and Woolwich stretches from the World Heritage site in the west to the area in the east around Woolwich which was up until the 1960s a hub of heavy industry. We have the Dome in the North, largely responsible for the regeneration of the area and which has assisted Woolwich to recover and cut unemployment significantly. This was an area where long term unemployment and low skills levels were a very serious problem following the loss of the riverside heavy industries.

The south of my constituency takes in Blackheath and part of the Village. We have a Premiership Football team - Charlton Athletic FC whose support is very much community based. My Greenwich and Woolwich constituency has some of the most beautiful parks in London, wonderful architecture from Hawksmoor, Wren, Vanbrugh, Rogers and Foster and a rich multi-cultural community. The Borough has a Labour administration and 3 Labour MPs. My majority is 10,300.
