Len Duvall AM, Labour London Assembly Member for Greenwich & Lewisham and Nick Raynsford, MP for Greenwich and Woolwich welcome a valuable new bus route in Greenwich.
The 129 service is being launched on Saturday, June 3 and will run between North Greenwich Station and Greenwich town centre serving Greenwich Millennium Village, Odeon Cinema/Sainsburys, Woolwich Road and Trafalgar Road.
Len Duvall AM said: “It is great news that London Buses have finally provided us with a direct link between Greenwich town centre and the Millennium village. Nick and I have continually lobbied London Buses to cover this route. I am glad that they have listened and that Greenwich residents will now benefit from this new route.”
Nick Raynsford MP said: “Over the past few years there have been real improvements both in the frequency and quality of bus services. The 129 will provide a valuable new route for those wishing to travel from the West and East Greenwich areas to the retail and cinema park on the Greenwich peninsular and onto North Greenwich.
Len and I will continue to campaign for further improvements in bus services including a direct link between Greenwich and Blackheath, as well as the earliest possible introduction of the new route for the 108 service.”
