Nick Harvey says: ‘It is with great pleasure that I shall be welcoming Liberal Democrat leadership candidate Nick Clegg to Barnstaple on 24 November.

Nick is taking time out from his busy schedule to provide the keynote speech to the North Devon Liberal Democrats annual dinner.’

Nick Harvey adds:

‘This is something of a coup for North Devon. Not only is Nick Clegg a superb communicator but he also has the vision to lead our party.  He has the energy, enthusiasm and ability to win and I am pleased to give him my support. Under his stewardship, liberal values will be in safe hands.’

Nick Clegg is a firm supporter of rural issues commenting:

‘The Liberal Democrats are the only party who understand the needs of rural communities, and as leader I will strive to ensure that rural communities, such as North Devon, are empowered to make positive changes according to local need, rather than unending Government decree.
