Mike Hall MP and Arthur Cole join local bus campaigner Mrs Cassidy in the call to reinstate the evening bus service between Windmill Hill and Liverpool – X1 service.

There are many Runcorn residents who work in Liverpool, have families in Liverpool or who want to go to Liverpool for a night out.  When Arriva cut the evening X1 service this made it impossible to get to and from Liverpool in the evenings on the bus.

Mrs Cassidy and Mike Hall have been campaigning for the reinstatement of the evening X1 bus service. 

Mike Hall MP said:-

 “This year is the City of Culture in Liverpool and improving bus service links to the city is very important.  I hope that Arriva will use the introduction of the new bus timetables to put back the X1 evening service to Liverpool”.

Arthur Cole said:-

“Mrs Cassidy and local MP Mike Hall are right to be pressing Arriva to reinstate the evening bus service to and from Liverpool.  The X1 bus service is a vital public transport link to Liverpool and reinstating the evening service will be a step in the right direction.
