Mike Hall MP said:-
"I believe there is a very strong case fMike Hall MP calls for speed restrictions on the A56.or reducing the 60 mph speed limit on the section of the A56 to 30 mph and reducing the 40 mph speed limit to 30 mph.
"This tragic accident demonstrates that this section of the A56 is very dangerous, the speed limit needs to be reduced and the Highway Authority should look at other calming measures.
"I have written to the County Engineer about this issue, asking him to look into the possibility of changing the speed limit on this dangerous section of highway."
