Mike Hall MP
Local Brewery Success!
Mike Hall MP was proud to pour the first pint of Stationhouse Brewery’s “1st Lite” ale in the Strangers Bar at the House of Commons last week.
This ale, produced by Stationhouse Brewery in Frodsham, was making its appearance as the Guest Ale in the House of Commons.
Mike Hall said:-
“I was really proud that a local brewer from my constituency was selected to be one of the guest ales in the Strangers Bar at the House of Commons.
“This small brewery has had great success with its ales. They have recreated great beers from the past using original recipes.
“1st Lite was a popular guest beer with the regulars in the House of Commons Strangers Bar and many commented on the real ale taste of 1st Lite. I hope it will not be long before we have guest ale from the Stationhouse Brewery in the House of Commons.
“The proprietor, Barrie Davidson and his wife Hazel, have been promoting real ales. They have also run a competition asking residents in the area to come up with suggestions for naming their beers, so that the old, local recipes they are reviving have suitable local names.
“I wish Hazel and Barrie all the best for the future in brewing real ale. My suggestion for a Frodsham ale would be the “Bees Knees”.
