Mike Hall MP
MORE MONEY FOR OUR TROOPS
Last week the Secretary of State for Defence announced an increase in Commitment bonuses for the Armed Forces worth up to £15,000, to reward those who stay in the armed forces.
The maximum currently available (£5,500) will be almost trebled to a maximum of £15,000.
This full amount will be for those who remain in the Armed Forces for a total of 8 years.
The Commitment Bonus will help our troops to fulfil their ambitions, whether it be buying their own home, a new family car or simply to provide additional financial security for them and their family.
Mike Hall MP said:-
“British Armed Forces do an excellent job wherever they are deployed. Their current missions in Iraq and Afghanistan are dangerous and demanding.
“Our country has the best professional army in the world and whenever they are called upon to serve they do so with pride and distinction. Their gallantry and commitment is second to none.
“I very much welcome the announcement of the Secretary of State for Defence increasing the commitment bonus for the Armed Forces from a maximum of £5,500 to a maximum of £15,000 to reward those who choose to stay and serve in the forces.
“This is a just reward for the men and women who serve the Queen and Country with such distinction.”
