Thank you very much for taking the trouble to visit this web site. I hope you find the information that you are looking for and find your visit worthwhile.
My work on behalf of constituents at the House of Commons covers many different issues, but the local jobs situation continues to be my main focus. Farming, electronics and textiles continue to be under pressure as the UK economy falters and I am working closely with my colleagues Archy Kirkwood MP and Jeremy Purvis MSP alongside local bodies such as Scottish Enterprise Borders and the council to tackle the area's problems.
The partnership approach of the past few years has yielded significant benefits such as substantial European funding for the Borders and Assisted Area Status to help companies to invest. There are still important problems to resolve and we are determined to keep the campaigns going. More details are available elsewhere on this site.
The information available here will enable you to get in touch with me as quickly and easily as possible, whether to discuss a problem or express a view on a current political issue. You will also be able to find out what I have been involved in recently and understand more about the constituency of Tweeddale Ettrick and Lauderdale.
If you have any comments about anything on the site (or not on it) they would be more than welcome. You can send them to my e-mail address as follows: michaelmooremp@parliament.uk
