Martyn Jones has been the MP for Clwyd South (formerly Clwyd South West)since 1987. He is currently Chairman of the Welsh Affairs Select Committeeand a former Chair of the All Party Group on Population, Development andreproductive Health. A former Microbiologist by trade, Martyn Jones workedfor the Wrexham Lager Beer Company before election to Parliament.

He was educated at Grove Park Grammar School, Wrexham; LiverpoolPolytechnic; Stockport Polytechnic; Manchester Polytechnic and TrentPolytechnic. He is a member of the Institute of Biology.

Political Interests: Agriculture, Welsh Affairs, Environmental Issues, Population andDevelopment.

Interests: Clay Pigeon Shooting, Hill Walking, Sailing and Tennis.
