Giving Local Charities A Helping Hand: The Alexander Rose Day Charity
MARTYN JONES, MP for Clwyd South is pledging his support for a nationwide charity – The Alexander Rose Day Charity – who can offer unparalleled assistance to smaller, local charities. He would like to encourage them to get in touch.
The Alexandra Rose Day Charity is 90 years old and over the years has enabled many small charities across the country to raise money for themselves. The charities involved with this “umbrella” charity are usually those with a caring focus on children, especially disabled children and the elderly.
Mr. Jones wishes to promote this scheme as he believes it is a useful resource which he feels would greatly help many charities within his constituency attain their charitable objectives.
Commenting on the Alexandra Rose Day Charity:
“Local charitable groups are often hard pressed in the voluntary sector. They have no national profile and often will not have the required finances or manpower to operate a significant fund raising campaign. In a world where charities inevitably have to compete I would like to encourage the charities in my area to utilise this fantastic resource to further the fantastic work they already do.”
