About Lee Scott

Lee has lived in Redbridge for most of his life and was educated locally as were his children. He is married to Estelle. His interests range from supporting local charitable and sporting events to listening to music.
Lee has spent most of his working life raising money for various national and international charities.

Lee's Experience

Lee has taken part in many election campaigns. Notably he has worked with President George Bush (1988-92) and other well known political figures in his role as a fundraiser for a major national charity. In June 2001, Lee was the parliamentary candidate for Waveney (Suffolk).

Lee's voluntary service has included working for Victim Support, the Barkingside Youth Centre Committee and the Acorns appeals committee at Whipps Cross Hospital and being a Governor of local schools.

In October 2002, Lee was selected to fight the Ilford North constituency for the Conservatives at the General Election. He was elected for the constituency in May 2005 with a majority of 1653 over Labour.

In July 2005 Lee was appointed to serve on the Transport Select Committee and in July 2007 he was appointed to serve on the Health Select Committee.
