JOHN AUSTIN’S CHRISTMAS CARD
A picture painted by 9-year-old Iretidayo Oluwabumuyi of Jubilee Primary School, Thamesmead, will be on display at 10 Downing Street and at the Palace of Westminster this Christmas. It will also be seen in Parliaments across Europe and in the Caribbean, Africa, India and Pakistan and as far away as Australia and the Falkland Islands.
The reason is that Iretidayo is the winner of local MP, John Austin's Design a Christmas Card competition which was open to children attending schools in the Erith and Thamesmead constituency.
John Austin will be visiting Jubilee School at 10.00am on Monday 17 December to present Iretidayo with her prize.
John Austin received hundreds of entries from pupils of Belvedere Infants School, Belvedere Junior School, Jubilee Primary School, South Rise Primary School, St Margaret Clitherow RC Primary School, Trinity School, Woodside School and Woolwich Polytechnic School.
