Erith & Thamesmead’s MP, John Austin, who is also a Trustee of the London Marathon Charitable Trust, was the bringer of good news when he visited Trust Thamesmead on Friday (11 January)   At its recent meeting, the Marathon Trust agreed a grant of £150,000 to Trust Thamesmead for their Sporting Club Thamesmead project.

The £150,000 is part funding for a major project which is currently before Bexley’s Planning Department to provide new facilities at Thamesmead Town Football Club and Crossways Park.
Trust Thamesmead is seeking additional funding from the Football Foundation and the Department of Communities and Local Government through Bexley Council.
